What happens if the property fails an inspection?

Our practical completion & pre handover inspections aren’t about passing or failing. The goal is to keep you aware of any suspected defects and help you resolve them while construction is still in progress, not after the builders leave the site.

Do you make sure the property complies with Victorian regulations and building standards?

Our inspection reports include Victorian regulation and compliance issues. For example, if essential fire safety features are missing, we’ll flag each issue and tell you how to fix it.

Do I need to attend the practical completion or pre handover inspections?

Typically, you don’t need to attend any of our inspections, but you’re welcome to. This will give you a chance to see any defects first-hand and discuss them with our inspectors directly. Our goal is to ensure you fully understand the condition of your project at every stage.

How long does a practical completion & pre handover inspection take?

The duration of the inspections vary depending on the project’s size and complexity. With that said, inspections generally take about an hour, allowing our team to thoroughly assess each critical aspect of your property so they can provide a comprehensive report. While we allow for 24-hour report turnarounds, we often deliver them within a few hours of the inspection.
